What is Fleet Management?

Fleet management refers to all actions that need to take place to keep a fleet running efficiently, on time, and within budget. It is the processes used by fleet managers to monitor fleet activities and make decisions about proper asset management, dispatch and routing, and vehicle acquisition and disposal.

Objectives

The Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Transport Management and Logistics provides qualification for middle and senior managers in the logistics industry, covering the management of the physical distribution of materials and good. Management skills are a significant part of the qualification, along with skills in planning and manging distribution centres, managing inventories and planning logistics strategy. As a Transport Management and Logistics degree graduate you will have a thorough understanding of the flow of materials, information and money between customers and suppliers.

Entry Requirements

1.     Applicants must have obtained at least five credits at Botswana General Certificate of Secondary Education or its equivalent including a pass in English language OR

2.     Candidates must have successfully completed a Diploma in Transport Management and Logistics or its equivalent from BA ISAGO University

3.     Special Entry: Candidates who do not have the minimum academic qualifications stated above, but have  a minimum five years relevant work experience in a related field, will be considered upon satisfying the requirements of the Academic Affairs Board

Programme Duration

The Degree programme will run over duration of 48 months (4 years) for full-time learners and sixty months (5 years) for part-time learners
