purpose

To support with the management of all communication between FNBB and its equity investors by supporting the process with the development, collating, drafting and releasing information, handling inquiries and meetings, providing feedback to management and crisis management on aspects of Investor Relations and Sustainability Management which includes ESG (Climate change and the growing list of ethic business topics), assist the Company Secretary to reinforce FNBB and Group FirstRand’s sustainability and social value proposition to external stakeholders

experience and qualifications

Minimum Qualification – Bachelors Degree in Finance/Commerce /related degree
Preferred Qualification – Relevant Post Graduate Degree or recognised ESG certification
Experience – 3 to 5 years experience in a similar environment, of which 1 to 2 years ideally at a junior specialist level
3 to 5 years’ experience in a Financial Services and/or Investor Relations and/or Sustainability

responsibilities

Ensure the operationalising the relevant Investor Relations, Sustainability and ESG statement, philosophies, and policies within the FNBB
Assist the Company Secretary and respective management with the collation, development and production of internal relevant Investor Relations, Sustainability and ESG reporting used for board and executive committees
Assist the Company Secretary and respective management to produce public sustainability ESG documents such as the Report to Society, Integrated Report, ESG data tables and to respond to ESG rating agencies and investors. This will include engaging with data owners across the Bank, analysing data trends and anomalies, synthesizing key messages and drafting report content (report writing)
Provide guidance on ESG standards, relevant data and liaise with Group to meet any further requirements
Engage with internal audit on ESG assurance
Develop and implement the Investor Relations strategy and communications within the agreed framework for equity investors
Review all investor relations related communications before dissemination on both X-news and public media for example of such communication includes press announcements for both the interim and final periods, financial results etc.
Investor meetings preparation and feedback to both the Board and Management
Proactive engagement with investor analysts, analytical insights (reports) and potential investors and the monitoring of competitor share trades and market intelligence
