Legal Aid Botswana is a Body Corporate established by an Act of Parliament, the Legal Aid Act No: 18 of 2013 (‘the Act’).
Date of commencement of the Act is on the 1st of January 2015. This Act sets out the full mandate, objectives, general functions, powers, and constitution of the governance structures of the entity as well as the supportive staff.
The objectives of Legal Aid Botswana are to provide legal advice, legal representation and legal education on legal matters to indigent persons.
Vacancies
Legal Aid Botswana is a Parastatal under the Ministry of Justice established under the Legal Aid Act, Cap. 16:02, with the objective to provide legal representation, legal advice, and public education on legal matters to the indigent. Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the following positions under Legal Aid Botswana.
