UN Botswana Job Vacancies

The UN in Botswana

Botswana is in its 54th year of independence and its reputation as a peaceful and democratic nation persists with international development indices confirming this.

In 2018 the UNCT continued to support the Government in its efforts to domesticate and implement the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The UN supported the Government to launch a National SDGs Roadmap. The roadmap has six strategic areas to guide the implementation of the SDGs at national, regional and local levels. It was launched on 22 February by the former Vice President of Botswana His Honour Dr. Mokgweetsi Eric Masisi, who is now President of the Republic of Botswana. The UN provided technical support to develop a National SDGs Communication Strategy and Action Plan. Implementation of this Strategy commenced during the year 2018.
